Description
Product Description Decking Tool Amazon.com A deceptively simple-looking tool, the BoWrench is a boon for both professional deck builders and do-it-yourselfers. The BoWench gives you a fast, one-person way to straighten decking boards. This is great, because decking material--whether redwood, cedar, or another, more exotic rot-resistant wood--is often warped, especially in 14- to 16-foot lengths. To operate the BoWrench, you simply fit the tool on a joist, swing the lever arm, and release. You can either push or pull boards into alignment, and when the handle is perpendicular, the tool locks in place, holding the board securely and leaving you free to drive nails or screws. The BoWrench is better than toenailing. Burying nails in the sides of decking to close gaps works, but it gives water more ways to enter the decking, which eventually leads to rot. With the BoWrench, you'll save time, create a longer-lasting surface, and maximize material. Using the special cam attachment (sold separately), the BoWrench replaces the clumsy beater block as the best way to close gaps in tongue-and-groove plywood and paneling. --Jon Groebner

Every single deck board needed to be bent to fit. This made it a one person job and didn't damage any boards. I was impressed at how sturdy this thing is. Some of the boards had a pretty big curve and I was able to screw them straight with this tool. I purchased two new tools for this project (12x24 deck). A palm nailer and the BoWrench. Both made my life so much easier. If you are dong a deck, you need this tool. Sure you could screw down a board and use a pry bar or a reverse clamp, but this is way faster.Must have item if you are in the deck construction business. Awesome use of leverage to help position PITA deck boards. Highly recommend!very satisfiedUsed it on over 100 5/4 x6x16 ft treated deck boards. Easy to pull boards into alignment and locks in place freeing you to nail or screw down boards. This products works great. Used it building 2 decks already and it works wonderfully. Highly recommend this. This tool was used by us putting white pine on our inside walls of our off grid cabin. Closed any gaps we had. Great product.Great product!!It works as they say it does. Needed something to get these laminated decking installed all of my 20 footers were all which way warped. I thought this was going to be a nightmare but with this apparatus it made it more enjoyable if that’s the word to use. I would recommend if you need something to persuade the board to move where you need it and be able to hold it this is a decent product for the price.
